Welcome to TASTE
We are glad you decided to join us on our culinary journey. We aren’t your usual restaurant. We view TASTE more like a community space for people like you to connect with the culinary world.
We are NOT a fast food restaurant.
Some people refer to us as a permanent pop-up because each day we welcome a new face to the kitchen which gives you the opportunity to try something new right here in our little space. Like all new things that are coming into fruition, things may take a little longer than usual.
Our guest chefs are new to this little kitchen and are often testing out a first time recipe so please help us encourage them to explore their talent by sharing your patience with them.
We hope it will most always be worth it for you and our new chefs.
We value your feedback. If you have suggestions, ideas or are interested in learning more about what we do, please ask our staff for a comment card and drop it in the little green box on our bar.
We believe in building a collaborative culinary community and we thank you for joining us.

Kokua Lunch Club – is a laid-back lunch gathering meant to provide folks who do community-based work and care deeply about Hawaii an opportunity to talk story with old friends and colleagues, meet new people, share ideas, and eat local food prepared by some of Hawaii’s most innovative chefs.
Kokua Lunch Club will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. on the first Monday of each month at TASTE in Kaka`ako. Everyone is invited but space is limited to 45 people, so reserve your spot for the next gathering.
